Network segmentation – VLAN

Network segmentation allows the service provider to group customers into different network segments based on their service level for easier network management and service delivery.
User Authentication and Network Security

At the access network, D-Link provides user authentication and network security features to eliminate unauthorized users and malicious traffic before it reaches the core network. These features include 802.1X authentication, Web-based Access Control, RADIUS and TACACS support, Safeguard Engine, ACL, IGMP Authentication and many more.

Traffic that successfully passed the security filter and authentication process in the access network will be gathered into the service provider’s aggregation and core networks.
